 In the last days, God became flesh to do the work He ought to do, and to perform His ministry of words. He works in person amidst man, because His goal is to perfect all those people who are after His heart. God's incarnated to conquer people and to perfect those whom He loves. He wants to see with His own eyes the people He perfects. He wants to see it for Himself, the people He perfects bear witness for Him.

In the Age of Grace, John paved the way for Jesus. He could not do the work of God Himself and merely fulfilled the duty of man. Though John was the forerunner of the Lord, he could not represent God; he was only a man used by the Holy Spirit. Following the baptism of Jesus, “the Holy Spirit descended upon Him like a dove.” He then began His work, that is, He began to perform the ministry of Christ. That is why He assumed the identity of God, for He came from God.

    The Eastern Lightning testifies that God has incarnated in the last days to do the work of judgment Himself. And yet God's work in the Age of Law was done by using Moses. So can't God's work of judgment in the last days be done in the same way, by using people? Why does God need to incarnate and do it Himself? Almighty God says, "The work of judgment is God's own work, so it must naturally be done by God Himself; it cannot be done by man in His stead. Because judgment is the conquering of man through the truth, it is unquestionable that God still appears as the incarnate image to do this work among men" (The Word Appears in the Flesh).
